Warren W. Peters' Obituary
Warren W. Peters, 89, of Superior, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
He was born March 13, 1924 in St. Cloud, MN, son of Appolonia (Pitzen) and Hubert Peters.
Warren proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
He retired in 1981 as a high school teacher, having taught at Superior Senior High School and prior to that taught at Superior Central High School.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Celine (Borgerding) Peters in 2003; daughter, Margaret "Peg" Lundquist; son, James W. Peters; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Joyce (Miles) Kronenberg, St. Cloud, MN, Marian Wolden, Spooner, WI, Janet (Bob) Anderson, Danbury, WI, and Katherine (Rod) Steen, Superior; son, Ken Peters, Superior; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Father James Tobolski officiating.
