William D. "Bill" Bunker, 77 of Superior, passed away on July 28, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Superior.
Bill was born on August 23, 1934 in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
The family moved to Superior in September of 1942. He attended St. Louis grade School and graduated from Superior Central in 1952. He was employed by the Northern Pacific and BNSF Railroads from April 1953 to July 1996 in Superior, Brainerd, Duluth and the St. Paul general office.
He enjoyed the shooting sports and was a member of the NRA and AARP. He greatly enjoyed bird hunting with three great Springer Spaniels and fishing.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Mary Mae and William Bunker Jr. and a sister, Donna Jane Moe.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Ness; nephews, James E. Moe and Allen "Rick" (Rae Ann) Ness; and his faithful companion, Gus.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 3, at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
