William John "Bill" Peters, 87, died Mon., June 14, 2010 in the Golden Living Center, Superior, Wis.

He was born June 26, 1922 in Phillips, Wis.

Bill was an Air Force veteran having served his country during WW II.

For 31 ½ years he had been an employee for Lakehead Pipeline.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and gardening.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth A. "Betty" Anderson of Superior; his children, Kathy Olson of Marshfield, Wis., James (Kay) Peters of Lake Dowling, Wis. and Michael Peters of Superior; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; stepsons, James (Marian) Knutson of Charleston, Ill., Michael (Doreen) Knutson of Dairyland, Wis., Robert (Kristen) Knutson of Centennial, Colo. and Stephen Knutson of Duluth, Minn.; step-daughters, Jeanne Potthier of Rosemount, Minn., Laurie VanHousen of Superior and Mary (Michael) Carlson of Superior; seventeen step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Following Bill's wishes, there will not be a service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Superior, Wis.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Golden Living Center for the wonderful care they gave Bill and also for the kindness shown his family.
