Obituary

Zebulun Downey, 28, of Superior, Wisconsin entered into his Lord's presence from his home on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014 as his home was destroyed by fire.

He was born in Duluth, MN on October 26, 1986 to Lee and Marilyn Downey. Zeb enjoyed life to its fullest. He built and flew RC planes, was a beekeeper, rode his motorcycle ministering at motorcycle rallies around the country through the outreach of Six Seasons Christian Riders, and loved flying his ultralight airplane. He most of all loved his horses and owned several draft teams and light teams plus riding stock giving many buggy rides and hay rides to neighbors and friends. He was also a talented musician playing his fiddle and accordion both locally (the Great Northern Classic Rodeo Cowboy church services) and at motorcycle rallies.

Zeb worked as a logger, performed pipeline work operating heavy equipment, operated his lawn and gardening business, ran his family farm, drove carriages in Canal Park in Duluth, and was currently employed by the Superior School District as a bus driver.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Downey, six weeks ago.

Zeb is survived by his father, Lee Downey and four siblings: Benjamin (Wendy) Downey, Becky (Rich) Johnsen, Reuben (Jessica) Downey, and Judah (Shelby) Downey, and eleven nieces and nephews who loved doing exciting things with their Uncle Zeb.

His memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 7th at the Darrow Road Wesleyan Church. Visitation will begin at 1pm and continue until the service at 2pm followed by a luncheon.
