Jon Thomas Jensen, 79, Superior, died Saturday June 26, 2021, at New Perspectives in Barnum, MN.

Jon was born on May 29, 1942, the son of Archie and Verna (Miller) Jensen.

He had worked as a bar manager for over 15 years at the Chinese Lantern. He was also a charter fisherman on Lake Superior.

Jon was a figure skater and skated in the Ice Follies. He enjoyed skiing, especially out west, playing tennis, bike riding and camping along the Brule River.

He was preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Julia Jensen.

Jon is survived by his children, Shawn (Jennifer) Jensen of Duluth, Andrea (Tom) Mason of St. Paul, and Larissa (Josh) Blankenheim of Duluth; grandchildren, Justin and Jenna Jensen, Giuliana, Adriana, and Vincent Mason, and a granddaughter on the way.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 2 ^nd from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church, 1111 Belknap St. Superior with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
