Judith C. Cochrane, 89, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Twin Ports Health in Superior, WI.
Judy was born and resided in Superior, WI on February 9, 1937 the daughter of Julie and Carroll Anderson. She graduated from Cathedral School. She was employed at the YMCA for many years as one of the infant and toddler teachers.
Judy married David Cochrane on August 28, 1968 and they celebrated fifty- five years of marriage. Judy enjoyed bowling in leagues with Dave and playing Bunko with her girlfriends. She enjoyed playing softball and riding horses in her youth. Judy is best known for her overwhelming hospitality she gave to her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, never missed a birthday party and cared for her grandchildren in her home. Judy loved to entertain and made sure everyone was welcomed, loved, and assured you never left hungry. Judy loved to laugh, dance, play cribbage and spoil all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. At Grandma Judy's house you did not hear the word, No.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David in 2023; birth-sister Judy Wilson and birth-mother Jane (Petite) Oglesbee.
Survivors include her children, Jeanne (Dale) Myer, Casey (Marcy) Cochrane, Tamara (Gary) Bosiacki, Jeffrey (Brenda) Bachinski, Jack (Debbie) Bachinski, Jim Bachinski, Todd (Fiona) Bachinski; her birth-sister, Dorothy Riedler; her birth-brother, Dennis (Ellen) Jaros; and sisters-in-law, Mary Cochrane and Cathy Amorde and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St., Superior, WI, with Pastor Brandon Myer officiating (her grandson). Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery and lunch to follow.
