Joe was born in Superior on Sept. 2, 1954 the son of Stanley and Marjorie Brown, Jr.

He was a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and served his country enlisting in the Army.

Sigrid Johnson, 97, lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living in Superior. She was born in Superior, November 16, 1920, the daughter of Carl Hjalmar and Anna (Johnson) Carlson.

Sigrid graduated from the Superior Teachers College with her Bachelor’s in Education and was a teacher in Bruce and Solon Springs.
